STANDARD BIOGAS STORAGE SYSTEMS
The TECON Standard Biogas Storage System is installed on a concrete foundation and consists of an outer, an inner, and a bottom membrane. The actual biogas storage volume is in between the inner and the bottom membrane. The air blower provides the air pressure in between the inner and the outer membrane.
The air and operating pressure is kept constant through a pressure-regulating valve. The constant air pressure is responsible for the shape of the outer membrane and ensures that the Standard Biogas Storage System can withstand wind and snow loads. The gas inlet and outlet pipes are located in the concrete foundation.
The outer membrane has an inspection window, which allows the optical control of the filling level, however – the precise measurement of the filling level is ensured through an ultrasonic measurement system. The Biogas Storage System further contains a safety valve as protection against excessive biogas pressure.
The TECON Standard Biogas Storage System is used primarily for water treatment plants and industrial applications.
TOP-MOUNTED BIOGAS STORAGE SYSTEMS
The tank mounted TECON Double Membrane Gas Storage System consists essentially of an outer membrane, an inner membrane and an optional brace system with a center pole.
The actual gas storage function is done by the inner membrane, which in conjunction with the supporting air blower, provides a constant operating pressure. The operating pressure is kept constant via a pressureregulating valve. The outer membrane provides the shape of the biogas storage and absorbs loads from wind and snow. The brace system prevents the inner membrane from being damaged by the agitator at low biogas levels.
An inspection window is integrated in the outer membrane. It allows for easy control of the biogas filling level. The exact filling level measurement is generally done with a wire length measuring system.
The hydraulic over- and under-pressure safety valves ensure that the membrane will not be damaged by too high or too low pressure.
The Top-Mounted Biogas Storage System is mainly used in agricultural and industrial applications.
This storage system can be used to cover existing ponds and for storing biogas. The big advantage is a significant reduction in investment costs. Tecon provides the complete system consisting of the pond seal membrane and the biogas storage.
Top-Mounted Biogas Ring Storage and Biogas Storages with Bridges
Ring Biogas Storage Systems and systems with bridges are functionally very similar to the Top-Mounted Biogas Storage System. The difference is that these storage systems can be placed directly on concrete or steel tanks with a separate center panel. On this center plate or bridge agitators, gas pipe connections, or other fittings can be installed. In contrast to the normal Top-Mounted Biogas Storage, a brace system is usually not necessary. This configuration is preferred by fermenters and facilitates maintenance and modifications. Similar to the service platform concept, ring and bridge storage systems can reduce the downtime for service and maintenance considerably.
Top-Mounted Biogas Storage System with Service Platforms
This type of Top-Mounted Biogas Storage has an integrated platform, which offers an easy way to get access to the different systems built into the tank. These can be agitators, access shafts, sensors, and safety devices. This platform system leads to shorter service hours thus reducing unproductive downtime at the biogas plant.
Biogas Bags are designed according to local requirements and the individual needs of our customers. Preferably, designs are cylindrical with spherical sections at both ends.
The installation of this unpressurized system is always in a building, which can absorb the loads.
Biogas bags can be fitted with a safety valve and a filling level measurement.
